  • Department of Psychology and Brain Health Research Center, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand conducted a study on "Effects of a brief stair-climbing intervention on cognitive performance and mood states in healthy young adults", they concluded that males showed better performance than females, participants felt more energetic, less tense and less tired. 
  • Department of Kinesiology, McMaste University, Hamilton, ON, Canada with some other department conducted a study on "Brief vigorous stair climbing effectively improves cardiorespiratory fitness in patients with coronary artery disease: A randomized trial", in this study they concluded that vigorous stairs climbing is effective in increasing VO2peak, in cardiac rehabilitation exercise programmes. 
  • Study, "Promoting stair climbing as an exercise routine among healthy older adults attending a community- based physical activity', has conducted by Nobuko Hongu, Mieko Shimada,[...], and Yutaka Yoshitake, and they concluded that stair climbing is one of the essential functional activities for maintaining independence of daily living among older adults.
