So before step up towards healthy carbs food, should have a knowledge about carbs, their role in our body, why it is required and from where we can get carbs in adequate amount. so, carbs are actually the sugar which provides us energy to do work and carbs present in the form of sugar, starches, and fibers and it is often found in fruits,  grains, vegges, and dairy products. carbs are the main source of energy for body. 

In the absence of carbs in  body, it starts using protein and fat for energy. as we said fibers also a carbs  which aids in  digestion, keeps blood cholesterol level in control. there are two carbs from based their source i.e., Good carbs and bad carbs.

Good carbs are that which we can get from natural food and bad carbs we get from sugar drinks, fruit juice, white bread, pastries, cookies, ice cream, candies, chocolate, etc.

1. OATS- (66% carbs, 11% fiber) are a whole grain cereal. oats are very good source of carbs, fibers, Vitamins, minerals, and beta glucan. it may also aids lowering blood sugar, cholesterol level, and most consumed food among athletes.

2. BANANAS- (23% carbs) per 100g of bananas contains 23g of carbs. also good source of potassium, vitB6,C, fiber and antioxidant. 

Banana is good for heart health, digestive health.




3.SWEET POTATOES- (18-22%) per 100g of sweet potatoes contains 20g of carbs. they are rich in fibers as well as carbs.
it helps to prevent Vit.A deficiency, improve blood sugar regulation, also reduce oxidative damage to cells.



4.BEET ROOTS- (8-10%) per 100g of beet roots contains 10g of carbs. Beet roots also good source of Fiber, vitamins, magnesium, Potassium, Fe(iron), and Vit.C., 

It helps to improve blood flow, lower BP, Increase stamina.



5.BLUEBERRIES- (15%) 100g of blue berries contains 15g of carbs. it contain 84% of water good for hydration. 

Berries also good for heart health, brain, blood sugar control, etc.
