Sirsasana also known as Salamba shirshasana or yoga headstand. Salamba shirshasana comes from the Sanskrit words in which 'Salamba' means 'supported', and 'Sirisha' means 'head' and 'Asana' means 'posture'.


In this Sirsasana your body completely inverted and held up right  and supported by the forearms and the top of your head.

How to do it-

Sit on the floor and move your body forward, place forearms on the floor, spread both of the elbows more than shoulder width and put the crown of your head in the space between of your palm, simply press your hand against your head to get a firm grip. Raise your lower body making the knees and legs straight. Lightly bend the knees truck your thighs in your abdomen and chest, slowly shift the weight of your body from close to head and arms. now try to balance the body. Now very carefully lift your one foot off The ground and maintain the balance and then try to lift up another foot. Now slowly raise both the legs Straight in the vertical position. your body must be straight and try to hold this position as long as you can and after than come back to the normal position.
